Inter House English Debate17-Apr-2024

On April 17th, 2024, the Inter House English Debate took place with the objective of honing students' oratory skills. The debate comprised two categories: Category 1, consisting of Grade IX and X students, and Category 2, comprising Grade XI and XII students. Each category featured teams from all houses, with two speakers per team, adhering to the Oxford format. Category 1 tackled the contentious topic, 'The morals of fairy tales are no longer appropriate in today's world', while Category 2 delved into 'To promote a peaceful and inclusive society, we need inclusive institutions at all levels'. Each participant presented compelling arguments, influencing the judges' perspectives. Tulip House emerged victorious, securing the overall first position, closely followed by Daffodil House in second place, and Jasmine House securing the third position. Ishanvi Jain earned recognition as the overall best speaker, showcasing exemplary oratory skills.
