The much-anticipated closing ceremony of the second edition of UWS girls’ invitational inter-school multi-sport tournament PRATISPARDHA 2025, was organized on 30th,2025 marking the culmination of days filled with electrifying performances, fierce competition, and unparalleled sportsmanship. The multi sports tournament was held from April 28 to April 30, 2025. About 500 students and 46 teams from 22 prestigious schools across Dehradun and Mussoorie, participated in this three-day event hosted by Unison World School, Dehradun . The Closing ceremony witnessed the presence of students, coaches, school authorities, dignitaries, who gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of young athletes from across the city. The evening commenced with a vibrant dance by the cheerleaders followed by the welcome and introduction of the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony. The esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Amit Kumar Sinha , who is currently serving as Additional Director General of Police (Administration), Director of the State Forensic Lab, and Special Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare, Uttarakhand , addressed the gathering. His words of encouragement and praise for the discipline, resilience, and team spirit of the students were truly uplifting. “Victory is not just about winning, but about the courage to compete with integrity,” he said, applauding all the participants. The highlight of the ceremony was the Prize Distribution, where trophies and medals were awarded to winners across various disciplines including football, basketball, hockey, badminton, and Lawn Tennis. Wynberg Allen School,Mussoorie was declared the overall champion of Pratispardha 2025, earning a standing ovation from the crowd. The event concluded with the lowering of the tournament flag, accompanied by the national anthem, symbolizing the official end of this year’s tournament. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by the sports vice-prefect Tanvi Lohia, expressing gratitude to all the participating schools, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who made the event a grand success. Pratispardha 2025 not only celebrated athletic excellence but also forged friendships, built character, and inspired the youth to embrace the true essence of sportsmanship.
