A poor or dull diet has a significant effect on children's behaviour, mood and concentration. Healthy eating is promoted as part of a normal daily diet and lifestyle. Food matters, and we take it seriously.
Unison world School has been certified by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and holds a license under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 as a Food Business Operator with food product categories ranging from 1 to 16.
Under the guidance of our highly experienced Catering Services Officer, the mess staff looks after the kitchen operations. Exceptional food hygiene is maintained across the entire facility. The department uses wholesome fresh foods for main meals and the chefs are skilled and trained to a high level. Freshly made main course dishes are cooked from raw ingredients with the use of frozen foods limited to select items, when they appear on the menu. Fresh vegetables, lentils, salad and fruit are available daily, as are regular tea time favourites, such as homemade cakes. Although our food is predominantly vegetarian, we do serve eggs during different meals of the day.
To cater to different palates, following cuisines form an integral part of our weekly menu:
- Indian regional
- Thai
- Italian
- Chinese
- Continental.
Our constant endeavour is to minimize unnecessary use of oil, too much of sugar and ingredients which are artificially prepared.
A qualified nutritionist ensures that a balanced and healthy diet is served. The mess continuously invites feedback from all diners through the Mess Committee and is flexible enough to accommodate popular choices.
