Orientation Day 202531-Mar-2025

The calm and serene morning of 31st March at Unison World School witnessed new children along with their parents entering the school portal to attend the 19th parent orientation. While the apprehension of being in an unfamiliar setting away from home was palpable among the newcomers, the enthusiasm for joining the school and embarking on an exciting educational journey was equally visible on their faces. The new students received a warm welcome and support from their buddies, who helped them get acquainted with their dormitories and assisted them in completing the necessary documentation. This considerate act contributed significantly in making the newcomers feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Dr. Mona Khanna, the Principal, commenced the Orientation Programme with a sincere prayer, which was subsequently complemented by a graceful dance performance by the students. Following this, the Principal introduced the devoted team of administrative, academic, and pastoral staff. She assured the parents that the faculty's unwavering commitment, resilience, discipline, and cultural excellence would foster the holistic growth of their daughters, helping them evolve into confident young women. During the session, emphasis was placed on the concept of in loco parentis which is designed to facilitate smooth transition of the students from a day school to a boarding school. Parents were informed about some important aspects such as the school hand book, school calendar, ERP system, communication protocols via emails and phone calls, as well as guidelines for night out. The PGC System, which operates within the school to assist students in pursuing higher education at their preferred institutions and making informed career decisions, was also discussed during the orientation. The session came to a close, addressing the queries of the parents. As the parents bid goodbye to their daughters they expressed their trust in the school to foster qualities such as resilience, integrity, and a robust value system in their daughters.
