Astronomy Camp 28-Feb-2023

On February 28, 2023, National Science Day, Unison World School hosted an Astronomy Camp in the school premises with the help of the SPACE Organisation and STEM Education. 175 students from grades VI - XI attended the camp. The STEM resource people started the workshop by enlightening the students with amazing facts about space. They placed strong emphasis on experiential and hands-on learning and engaged the students in a variety of activities like peering through a telescope at the Sun, building and launching Hydro Rockets, and having close view of celestial bodies like the Moon, Jupiter, Mars, constellations, and satellites. Each activity piqued the students' interest to the point where their eagerness to participate in and experience it was audible in their voices. For each participant, it was a unique and enlightening experience. The astronomical camp came to an end with the students receiving participation certificates, a batch, and a sky map roster.
