A workshop on Pastoral Care and Effective Communication was organized on 9th February, 2020, at Unison World School, Dehradun. The resource person was Mrs. Jyotsana Brar. The workshop was attended by all the teachers and matrons as they play an integral role in making a boarder feel comfortable, wanted and significant in a residential school. Mrs. Brar with the help of a power-point presentation, activities and enriching anecdotes ingrained in all how to work for the social, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being of the residential students. Teachers also learnt about certain aspects of the brain which help shape the personality, behaviour and future of the child. The workshop was effective and beneficial as all the participants were determined to imbibe the learning in their day to day life as residential school staff.
