Spectrum 2020 13-Sep-2020

Spectrum 2020 —All India Inter-School Art & Craft Competition, Online Edition, was organized by Unison World School on 13th September, 2020, for students of all grades from all over India. This year, Mr. Aloke Tirtha Bhowmick, Artist & Educationist, Founder and Chairman of Dada’s Academy, inspired students as Chief Guest for the event. 270 students from 25 renowned schools from all over India participated in different vibrant categories like ‘Battle of Shutters’, ‘1-minute frame fame’, ‘Finding memo-o’, ‘Drawing through the Window (Junior & Senior)’, ‘We keep this love in a Photograph’, ‘Doodle FR (Junior & Senior)’, ‘Shadows of the Song’, ‘Thumbs Up’, ‘Lithographics 2.0’, ‘Paper Picasso’. These events explored talents in Painting, Graphic Design, Digital Art, Sculpture, Photography, Craft to Poster Design, Meme making, Shadow Animations, Doodling and Film making. The event commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the opening ceremony and the commencement of twelve events with their virtual display and result announcement. Students of Unison World School also showcased their art and the school counselor talked about how art is essential during this pandemic for better mental health and living. The panel of judges, featured established artists, curators, designers, photographers, writers, researchers, publishers, bloggers and educationists such as Ms. Samia Kherchi, Mr. Arup Pal, Mr. Avinash C. Joshi, Ms. Aishwarya, Ms. Priyanka Saha, Ms. Raka Panda, Mr. Sangam Vankhade, Mr. Tara Chand Sharma, Mr. Anirban Sengupta, Mr. Jay Chakraborty, Mr. Aalok Sharma and Mr. Prashant Badoni. All the participants sent in their best entries and their unique expressions were highly appreciated by the judges. Selecting the winners, from the display of talent galore, was indeed challenging for the judges. The awards for different art categories have been bagged by schools like The Doon School, Dehradun; Assam Valley School, Assam; St. Joseph's Academy, Dehradun; Bombay Scottish School, Mahim; The Emerald Heights International School, Indore; La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata; Rajkumar College, Raipur Chhattisgarh; The Indian Public School, Dehradun; Kasiga School, Dehradun; Wynberg-Allen School, Mussoorie; Jayshree Periwal Global School, Jaipur; Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur; St. Peter's School & Jr. College, Panchgani; Miles Bronson Residential School, Assam; St George's College, Mussoorie etcetera. Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur won the Rolling Trophy – Spectrum 2020, for overall performance and the runners up was Hopetown Girl’s School, Dehradun.
